While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Friends of the Parish of Three Saints

The Parish of Three Saints has three medieval churches in Brent Knoll, East Brent and Lympsham, and we want to maintain these magnificent buildings in good condition.  In June 2014 we launched a project to set up local Friends organisations for our three village churches.

The overall aims of the Friends groups are:

  • To foster interest in, and support for, our local village churches
  • To provide financial support for the maintenance, repair and improvement of our local village churches through Membership Subscription and regular fund raising events
  • To provide a framework for learning about our Christian heritage, with particular reference to our local village churches

The main thrust for initial development of our Groups will be to recruit Friends who are prepared to contribute a small annual subscription.  We are particularly keen to involve people who may not be regular church goers, but still wish to ensure that the village maintains its church.  As a Friend you will:

  • be in a position to have a say in your local Church Heritage
  • receive a twice yearly newsletter about the activities of the Friends that will be published on the website
  • be entitled to attend an annual meeting of your Friends Group
