Our Worship

Our worship is a respectful devotion: loving, honoring, and obeying God and acknowledging his power and perfection with thanks. Worship is a key part of our relationship with God and when we worship we we recognize God as our Creator, Saviour and King. In our worship services we tell God that we love him and say sorry for the things we shouldn't have thought, said or done. We remember his sacrifice made once for all, and we thank him in prayer and in song for our blessings and our salvation.

How we live is worship. We are called to love God and to love one another.

Our main service is on a Sunday morning at 10am in one of the three churches in the parish. This is a Holy Communion service using the Common Worship liturgy. The service includes hymns, prayers, a Gospel reading and another bible reading and a sermon. We sing a range of hymns old and new accompanied by our organist. This service lasts around an hour an is followed by tea, coffee and biscuits.

We have a Book of Common Prayer service at 8am on the third Sunday of the month. It will be in the same church as the 10am service.

As we are in vacancy there may be Sundays when we have a Service of the Word rather than a Eucharist.
