"Let us create humankind in our image" - Genesis 1:26
The assurance that all human beings are created in God's image reminds us that everyone is a sacred creation and that God's image is broader than our own experience and understanding. Someone may look - or love - differently than you do, and still, simply by being human, reflect the image of God.
We believe in inclusive church - a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We will not discriminate against people on the grounds of a disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodivergence or sexuality.
A really good theological resource that looks at our faith and sexuality is "Together in Love and Faith" by Steven Cottrell, the Archbishop of York. This is more of a pamphlet than book, around 50 pages long, An online copy of this can be found here.
